[Texmacs-dev] Generalities

1. I will be off for two weeks from friday on.
David: please handle all bug reports.
Everybody: if you have urgent questions:
   please ask them now.

2. It is still time to advertise for TeXmacs 1.0,
like Stephane did last monday (2000 links).
We should not be to shy about this: the trafic on texmacs.org
almost doubled since version 1.0 and getting more users is
   also getting more developers.

What is still missing most now is coverage in the Linux press.
I contacted the guys listed on the Wiki; two promised me to do
something, but I do not have news. Don't hesitate to contact
journalists; contacting them twice is not necessarily bad either.

3. Stephane: how far are you with the french translations?

We are setting up a texmacs-doc site on Savannah using CVS.
It consists of small files which can be browsed using TeXmacs.
We should write tools for compiling books and so from this later.
I already wrote some sample documentation which can be found
in the attached file (it works with TeXmacs-1.0.0.2 which
   is available right now).

All: please think about good markup for the tmdoc style.
We should modify/complete it before an official release of
the new docs. Maybe that someone has the time to make
appropriate menus/icons for this style too.

4. Stephane: did you already take a look at the Html conversions?
If you have some questions about it, please ask them now.

5. David: what about a second version of your style transformation
document? It would be nice to detail the way you intend to
implement TMSL in a second document. In order to keep track of
the environment in a dynamic way, you should take a look at
the mechanism in the "env" and "bridge" classes.
Please start writing some code too; you might start with
   the "tagged tree" ttree class.

Yours, Joris
