This problem has already been reported, and improperly fixed. Here too 
(KWin) the window size is limited (though it is significantly more than 
1024x768). That is old new, and though I am no Xlib guru I does not look 
like a window manager problem to me.

Phew... I am tired of typing mails, and bug/wishlist items... I am 
starting to be rude... I should better make some code until the end of 
the day... GOOPS is an awful lot of fun.
