[Texmacs-dev] major barrier to adoption

Hi,

One of the major barriers to adoption of TeXmacs is not technical at
all -- but rather has to do with peer pressure.

In the CS theory community for example, you are considered clueless if
you do not use TeX -- period!  There is little interest in checking
out TeXmacs because -- even if it is better than TeX -- your peers
would look down on you if you like it!  I don't know if this is out of
respect for Knuth or because the community is very conservative or
what.

It's really quite amazing though.
