I have the same problem. This is pretty much a showstopper for anyone that does not have an older version of Texmacs installed.

On a working system this can be reproduced by running

./texmacs --delete-font-cache

which produces

I could not open address@hidden
texmacs.bin: ./Plugins/Metafont/load_tex.cpp:329: void load_tex(string, int, int, int, tex_font_metric&, font_glyphs&): Assertion `false' failed.
Aborted

The workaround is to run some older texmacs version (without doing anything, just run and exit). This fixes the problem until the next --delete-font-cache...

Hi all,

I got the latest source package by git and compiled it with Qt enabled,

./configure --enable-qt
make
make install

Everything was fine. But when I tried to start it, it simply exited
leaving the following message,

I could not open address@hidden

I noticed one thread on this issue but got no reply,

Any suggestion about it?

Best,
