trouble connecting to davs

Hello,

a davs connection is not working. I use it for org-mobile.

The command (file-directory-p davs-directory) returns nil.

System: Xubuntu 20.04 Emacs 27.2. I can access the directory via
thunar.
Under Ubuntu 18.04 - Emacs 26.3 (but with the same emacs setup) the
command returns true.

Maybe it is related to fuse (?) but I do not have any knowledge about
the topic. (I also tried the following environment variable:
GVFS_DISABLE_FUSE=1 but it doesn't help)

Any help is very welcome.
