As long as it's well documented, I don't see much problems.  But it's
fine with me to call it "adjust" if you think that's more descriptive.
I wouldn't want to have two routines though, just adjusting it to
F_CPU is fine I think.

Just discussed a little with Axel, it could even go further, and
adjust the clock prescaler to the appropriate value.  Thus, you
can #define F_CPU 3.686E6, and the adjustment routine notices it
has to set the prescaler to 2. ;-)
