I guess we have the general problem that we don't know what features
people are using...

Perhaps we should add some warnings to some of the features, something
like:

"This feature is scheduled to be removed (earliest <date:today+1year?>),
since we (the developers) are not aware of anyone who is using this
feature. If you are using it and would like to see this feature in
future versions of xboard, please email address@hidden to let us
know."

And once it is removed, we could add an error message.
