Again, see the old discussion, it can be found in the archives.
I agree to your arguments, but better discuss that on the avr-libc-dev
list then. By the time it has been discussed, it simply didn't seem
to be all that important to me to debate about the exact location, so
I didn't object. Nobody else seems to have been interested at all.
What I'm sorry though is that this turned out to be a last-minute
action where we forgot to put a placeholder #warning file instead.
