Follow-up Comment #4, task #9739 (project bibledit):
The attached patch is broken on WIN32 because it is a partial
implementation.
Namely, GIOChannel is used for UNIX socket->Xiphos communication, but there
seems to be no support for GIOChannel from Xiphos to Bibledit.
GIOChannel support would be exceedingly helpful in getting this to work on
Windows, as Xiphos, unlike Bibletime, has a Windows version.
I will be reopening this tracker when Xiphos 3.2 comes out with this support
more fully fleshed out.
