Not a problem, really. My job as maintainer is to triage whether reports
indicate real bugs or just configuration issues; for every person that
reports a problem, there are generally many more who suffer from the same
issue but don't report it. If we are able to reproduce and understand why
your testsuite failure occurred, we may be able to make autoconf more
robust for those users who don't know to report things.

I'm glad to hear things are working.

We actually encourage running 'make test' and reporting the results - it
is the only way we can learn whether autoconf is as portable as we would
like it to be.
