It is good that you brought this topic to be discussed on the list
(?). The most difficult part will be to incorporate both bitmap
(raster) and vector font formats.

The cycle of usability and feedback is important, and at the same time,
the more usable a program is, the more it is being used and then it
becomes harder to do major changes. So, we will have to come to the
"external" look and feel at this stage.
