There are other people interested in getting Gnuserv into Emacs, but
progress is not happening fast. We need to start with a version that
we have (or can get) clear legal papers for, get whatever papers we
don't have yet, then make whatever improvements are needed. To make
this happen, what is needed is a person who wants to take charge and
push the job to completion.
- Hack the C code from gnuserv-2.1alpha (which I believe the FSF has
papers for) to work with the latest version of gnuserv.el.
If we don't have papers for that particular version of gnuserv.el, we
don't want to install C code to support that version. What we want is
to support a version of gnuserv.el that we can include in Emacs.
Would you like to work on this?
