Hi, Ralf

I trust you, but the truth is that I am not getting any ltmain.sh file on my package top directory (and the AC_CONFIG_AUX_DIR is commented on my configure script).

Hmm, interesting. Since it's taken 3 mails now and I've still not been
able to reproduce your failure, one last question: do you use Automake <
1.10, and Autoconf < 2.61?

address@hidden david]$ automake --version
automake (GNU automake) 1.10.1
[...]

address@hidden david]$ autoconf --version
autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.62
[...]

address@hidden david]$ libtool --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 2.2.2
[...]

Given that some of these tools might be relevant:

address@hidden david]$ perl --version
This is perl, v5.10.0 built for i686-linux

address@hidden david]$ sh --version
GNU bash, version 3.2.33(1)-release (i686-pc-linux-gnu)

Is it possible for you to either put a tarball of your source tree up
somewhere, or post a small example package that reproduces this issue?

It is easier to get the source tree, as you might guess.
If you do not mind, please do a quick

  svn co https://numexp.org/svn/numexp-core/branches/david/

Thanks for all your effort on this.
Alberto
