Do you mean that you have serached the bug-parted archive and read the
answers? Your questions were discussed a few times, quite recently too.

Please see what Yury wrote recently.

See the archive and e.g. QTParted forums. There were several people
demanding this. Unfortunatley all developers are busy for some years
but see Yury's response.

Hint: you didn't write any specific what's your system and how to
reproduce the problem. In the past, it occured MANY times that vendors,
libparted users patched [lib]parted, kernel or misused the API's so their
software misbehaved and Parted got blamed for others' faults.

What's going on with reiserfs support, I don't know. I still didn't see
any useful info on how to reproduce the problem.

BTW, parted bug reporting is quite useless. People send bugs reports,
Andrew maybe answers after one week or month by a question what could be
already included automatically in the bug report then the thread is
usually dead, unsolved. I think one of the most important improvements
would be to sort this out. For bug report submissions, parted should
collect and present more/relevant/detailed info, etc.
