Hello,
I am John Mandereau, a French translator of LilyPond user manual --
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.11/Documentation/user/lilypond/index.fr.html
I would appreciate that makeinfo outputs HTML with French typography
rules, i.e. colons and semicolons should be preceded with a ` ',
and `!' and `?' should be preceded with a ` '. As these four
characters should be inputed with a preceding blank space in the Texinfo
source, I suppose a simple text substitution is needed.
Let me know if I can easily help with this, or with other issues related
to internationalization. I have not much time, but I can provide some
experience from what we have already done with LilyPond user manual.
Greetings
