I haven't seen RH-9, but 8.1 definitely has DDD linked with OSF Motif,
not with LessTif.  If you want to, you can get the latest LessTif and 
ddd-3.3.7 and build them both.  I'm sure that will fix your problem.

Again, if there are any Motif experts reading the list, please explain
what's going on with this problem.  It doesn't occur with LessTif, nor
with Motif-1.2.4 (on HPUX).  There has to be a better solution than
messing with
$LANG.
