I'm sorry to have to say this, but I believe that you are confused on two
rather important points relating to my query:

1) As is made clear by the fact that you gave a link to a place where I
(or anyone) could purchase a stingray device, it is apparent that you did
not understand that I wish to see the construction of a device that would
*detect* the local operation of stingrays. I do not want a stingray. I want
to detect them.

1) As far as I am aware at this time, detection of stingrays is just a matter
of merely _listening_ to a proper set of specific frequencies and then
correctly interpreting the received data. Thus, your point about obtaining
a full duplex device, in prefrence to a half duplex device, also seems
rather entirely off the mark.

P.S. While I appreciate general and non-specific statements of support for
"interesting projects" either based on or relating to GNURadio, I did not
join this mailing list merely to collect such generalized well wishes.
I need to find people who will actually construct what I am seeking, i.e.
a low cost portable stingray detector of the kind depicted in the following
facinating and informative Vice News video:

   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzBWoVh4qhk

(Note that I have already attempted to make contact with the fellow from
Privacy International who is shown using the stingray detector in this video...
so that I may ask him to describe the exact hardware and software he is using...
but so far I have been unable contact him.)
