It is unique, but the GNUstep installation is 100% standard on this box. I've been testing alternative layouts on another machine (with much success, actually). GNUstep is compiled with these options:
--prefix=/System --with-local-root=/Local --with-network-root=/Network --enable-flattened
I will have a go on a standard Linux box (when I find one around here ;)), and see what happens.
