I understand what Ian's point was.I look more at the 579 FIXME references in the core source. That might not be the best method of evaluating what needs to be done, but it's all I have, barring any design or development documentation.
Now, as I say, I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do, or being ungrateful for the amount of work that has gone into GNUstep. I just think that effort could be better expended on finishing GNUstep's -base and -gui, and removing any hacks, temporary solutions, etc. before worrying about whether or not GNUstep will work on Windows.
