I don't know, SOPE deployments "usually" have UTF-8 issues because they
are based on libFoundation which has incomplete Unicode support. It
shouldn't really matter if you run it on gstep-base or Cocoa
Foundation.
There is also a default called WOMessageUseUTF8 which you probably want
to use.
The one thing I know which also has UTF-8 issues is the sope-gdl1
PostgreSQL adaptor.
