  I am not aware this problem. Need to take a closer look.
  The bottom line is that if it happens to OpenBox3, then it is an
inherited bug.
  If not, then something is wrong during the porting.
  One way to debug is to try earlier revision from svn
  and see which one break OpenBox3.
  It should be quite stable now.
  I use it as default window manager with Gnome,
  and with GNUstep occasionally.
