There of course needs to be some translation for people who are either
not intersted or merely uninformed about technology, but that needn't
be an obstacle. I have found that as long as you aren't too technical
and don't come accross as condescending things can go quite well.
 It is a good idea to start out with how it will impact people in an
everyday way and forgo the far-reaching abstract implications until
that person which you are trying to educate becomes more informed with
time.
 I really think that we can make a change and that we can inform people
from all walks of life by being excited and passionate about our
beliefs and also taking the time to cleary explain our views.

  I have watched people apply for a credit card to get the following
items for "free": 
- a bag of Skittles
- a pair of sunglasses
- a paper-thin beach towel
- a t-shirt with the credit card company's logo on it
