This discrepancy between principles and reality is exactly what I was
referring to. It's not Mike Gerwitz specifically, but the reality is
that there is a vast majority of free software advocates that uses
websites without concern for the Javascript licenses. So the *FSF
principles* that are in reality not observed are blocking a vitally
important way for the *GNU Emacs project* (note they are not the same
organization, so Filipe's merging them somewhat inaccurately) to reach
users, because of a setup step invisible to those users.

Look, principled opposition taken to an extreme is self-defeating.
Imagine if vegans refused to *visit* vegetarians' houses and breathe
their air because they are not pure enough. Meanwhile the
slaughterhouses are running next door.
