I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but it might be useful to do so again
as a reply to your question above:
There was apparently a project to do this, some years ago:
https://wiki.debian.org/SummerOfCode2007/DebbugsWebUI
At that time, Stefano Zacchiroli offered to help. It was discussed on the
Debian Devel mailing list, starting here:
https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2007/03/msg00362.html
To: Debian Devel ML
Subject: co-mentor for a GSoC proposal wanted: debbugs web submission
From: Stefano Zacchiroli
Date: Thu, 15 Mar 2007 19:28:11 +0100
Message-id: <20070315182811.GA19407@takhisis.invalid>
And it looks like some progress was made. According to...
https://wiki.debian.org/SummerOfCode2008/DebbugsWebUI
https://wiki.debian.org/SummerOfCode2009/DebbugsWebUI
...the code had been at this now-obsolete URL:
http://alioth.debian.org/projects/bts-webui/
However, I am unable to find that code on salsa.debian.org (the GitLab-based
replacement for alioth) now. I tried these searches:
https://salsa.debian.org/search?search=bts-webui
https://salsa.debian.org/search?search=bts
https://salsa.debian.org/search?search=webui
https://salsa.debian.org/search?search=debbugs
Does anyone know what happened with that project? It might be a good starting
point now.
Best regards,
-Karl
