Do other programs make these into ligatures when you use these fonts? I
tried:
hb-view /usr/share/fonts/truetype/dejavu/DejaVuSansMono.ttf "afib" -o
/tmp/deja.png
And as expected, no ligaturing here. The non-mono font does the
ligature, though:
