I've tried doing builds on various machines. Here's from my M1 Apple laptop. Before: make -j8 bootstrap 717.57s user 64.69s system 482% cpu 2:42.11 total After: make -j8 bootstrap 457.93s user 62.46s system 415% cpu 2:05.25 total Nice reduction in time spent (and impressive lowering of the CPU work done). -- (domestic pets only, the antidote for overdose, milk.) bloggy blog: http://lars.ingebrigtsen.no
