I agree. "point" is "here", itʼs not at eol/bol unless itʼs moved
there.
Weʼre talking about the characteristics of whatʼs at the beginning/end
of the line, which suggests `position-of-bol' and `position-of-eol'
(or even `pos-of-bol').
