I can understand that pipeline wants to get things out to the public. He
already did a port which people enjoy. I personally don't see an urgent need
for a new maemo version before april (which is less than six weeks from now).

I personally aren't very interested in supporting and testing such a backport
and would like to work on the 1.10 branch. The only thing i'd like to see is
a tiltstick enabled windows binary of the 1.01 version since some people out
there would like to test run their tiltsticks.

That's what i prefer.

Some aspects might need discussion. E.g. the patch to remove certain unused
graphics may be usefuly for other low mem devices as well as it e.g. cuts the
memory footprint from nearly 10MB to about 4MB in case of gfx32. E.g. the
gp2x port will also need this. So this might very well go upstream unlike
e.g. my tiltstick interface which is only requiered on machines without
joystick enabled kernel which is very maemo specific.

I am "harbaum"

Sure, that's what i meant. But this removes major parts from
src/gui/OptionsMenu.cc and modifies the data Makefile.

That'd be great
