That file lm32/asm.fs was added by me last week. To me it looks like
you have a new Makefile but an out-of-date 'arch' directory? What does
"TOT" mean? How did you retrieve your Gforth sources?
Just tried a clean CVS checkout here and
./BUILD-FROM-SCRATCH
sudo make install
passes without problems (debian squeeze).
