let me say this. Once upon a time, we had realistic graphics. rendered even.

And it sucked. Because it is more important to have a complete set of 
self-consistently themed graphics than being "realistic".

I mean, we could also replace the globs by, say, peons and warriors. That 
would be more realistic, no ?
