I think you haven't been following the list lately.  Try catching up
first.

"I want strict commits, and therefore I will use explicit mode."

"I don't see the benefits of taglines (now, after 2 days of experience),
so I'll use explicit mode."

While I don't necessarily agree with that in all cases, in some cases I
do agree.  Maybe "flexible" mode?
