I don't think that the conclusion follows from the premise. Perhaps a
better statement would be:
Most users (including me) run more applications than just tla,
so a good filesystem has to be efficient with other
applications, too.
That said, I agree that having adequate performance with common
filesystems is a desirable attribute.
