Gnats Customization

I've been able to successfully customize gnats v4 and gnatsweb v3.99.2 by
removing fields from the dbconfig file. However I want to add a new field
whose contents are defined in a file. So following the way the other
enumerated-in-file fields are done I made the changes to dbconfig to add the
new field.

When I run gnatsweb the new field shows up in all the web pages except the
query results page. Also when I submit a new PR via gnatsweb I get an error
message of

Unparseable reply from gnatsd.

The new PR does get put into the database but the error causes the database
to be locked. Do I need to add something to the gnatsd source code to
account for the new field I'm trying to add?

Also what determines which fields are displayed and in what order in the
various web pages. Like I said, the new field shows up in all the pages
except the table on the query results page.
