After having a quick look, I noticed you create a separate partition
for hurd-l4. There is no need to do so (for now). And `-o hurd' is
not a requirement.
What I do is copying all required files to a directory accessible via
TFTP. On my second box I load menu.lst from the network. After that
all required hurd-l4 modules (depending on the menu item) are loaded
from my tftp directory.
Oh, and there is no problem with using slackware. I use it for almost
all my hacking (You mentioned it didn't work that well).
