OK, this patch is redone using String and String_convert.
Note that I'm including 5 new UNIX standard includes. I don't know if
this has an effect on portability, or if this needs configure
tweaking...
For testing a bit, I made a small stupid Ruby script that imports
approximately stuff from input/test. Now LSR has about 80 snippets, most
of which are taken from input/test. I've been able to happily compile
everything in a jail and without safe mode.
