1)  Whenever I'm making new changes, the most important thing (in my
mind) is that the new stuff is clearly better than (or at least equal)
to the previous thing.  This "snippet subsection" is equal to the old
system, so I'm happy pushing forward on this.

My gripe with it is that we're using the repository as a form of
communication. I think you will get more useful input if you use email
discussions for communication. If you position tolsr as dumping
ground, that is what you will get: dumped stuff, i.e. garbage.

I don't think that either of those will happen.  I agree that it makes
life a bit harder for Trevor and the like... but I think we only have a
dozen serious users who track unstable.


We run google analytics on lilypond.org. I've just added you as a
user. Go to http://www.google.com/analytics/  and login with your
Google account to see the reports.

I've switched on download tracking a few days ago. We have 50 devel
downloads per day.
