As far as I can seen in the code in bar-line.cc, there is currently no way to 
create a single thick bar line. In compound barlines, a thick line is 
indicated by a dot (e.g. "|."), but using only a single dot (like in \bar ".") 
is implemented to create a single dot...

Question to the other developers: Should we change \bar "." to create a single 
thick barline for reasons of consistency and instead add a new bar line style 
\bar "dot" to create a single dot as a bar line? 
If not, what would be the best way to indicate a single thick bar line?
