I thought you'd never ask! :)

At the very least, you could attempt to build it and look at
whatever problems arise. AFAIK, only Han-Wen and Jan have managed
to build it. If you encounter (and fix) any bugs, that can't hurt
my attempts to build it. If you manage to build it on a server
that I can log in to, all the better.

The connectivity as university is fine; the problem is the amount
of people using the shared wireless in the apartment. :(

... oh wait. The connectivity at university is fine, other than
killing encrypted connection to smtp.gmail.com on port 587. So
I'm writing this email in a short break before lunch at 11am, but
won't be able to send it until I'm home at 8 or 9pm. Mao! That's
going to make problems if I try to work on lilypond stuff on
Sunday... maybe I'll have to resort to the webmail interface.

I don't mean to sound negative; I'm having a blast here. This
research group really needed a trained musician and music teacher
who still has CS knowledge, so I was the ideal person to come. I
just wish I had a bit more time left to do lilypond stuff,
especially after starting GOP.

I promised myself that I wouldn't work on Sundays and I'd do one
touristy thing each week, but this week's touristy thing will be
taking pictures, and I'm not working on university stuff, so it'll
be ok. :)

That would be neat! A bit weird meeting on the other side of the
world from both our normal homes, but still really neat! The
paper deadlines are April 17, so I should have plenty of time in
May.
