It'll be quite an invasive change, but if you're sure about it, I'll do it.
If we do go ahead with this, I'd like to keep input/new as it is
(relying on makelsr.py to convert the snippets), otherwise we'll end
up with every snippet having \version "2.13.1". This will make it
more difficult to distinguish between development snippets and those
ready to move to LSR once it's using 2.12.
