Just to clear up any confusion: 2.16.1 is _not_ going to receive any of
the discussed changes. It is only relevant for the discussion since the
extensive changes of convert-ly to master will basically nail down the
endpoint for viable cherry-picking and cross merges of documentation and
translations between 2.16 and 2.17. After the big convert-ly run, fixes
to the 2.16 branch will be mostly confined to code patches since
documentation merges would almost certainly require conflict cleanups
for every merge.
