But something definitely does not work quite as intended: fingerings above accidentals even tend to overlap the accidental to some degree, whereas below the accidental the is an unnecessarily large gap.
I went to the issue tracker so this doesn’t get lost – it seems to be related to or a subset of <https://sourceforge.net/p/testlilyissues/issues/3692/>.
