The one thing that changed my computer life as a French speaker trying to type ÉÀŒÇ is a Compose key.
... and now you changed my life as well :-).Thanks much! I do not know how often I had to look up ♯,♮,♭ and especially ①②③④⑤⑥⑦⑧ (these come up all the time in some forms of theory of harmony).
