The O'Reilly series of technical books has a number of sections after
the index. Typically they are titled "About the Authors" and
"Colophon". Some of the newer editions also have details on other
O'Reilly titles after the "Colophon". None of these pages are
numbered. The last numbered page is the last page of the index.

My copy of the red and white "PostScript Language Reference Manual"
also has a "Colophon". It too is on an un-numbered page. The last
numbered page is the last page of the index. However, the "Colophon"
in my red "PostScript Language Reference Manual" has a numbered
"Colohpon" after the index. Both of these are published by Addison
Wesley.

So the concept is certainly not uncommon but it does seem to be
inconsistent.

I'd like to see the feature added to lout where un-numbered pages
after the "last page" are possible.

Peter
