Hi Chris,
This may or may not be related and help, but I'm posting it in the hope
it can.
Some time ago I had problems building GDB docs under Ubuntu (can't
recall the exact release) and I successfully solved them by installing
the following packages:
texlive-latex-base
texlive-extra-utils
texlive-generic-recommended
Do you have these or equivalent packages installed?
I noted this down since it took me some time to figure out what exactly
were the missing pieces: errors were kind of obscure for me!
