Is it possible to generate a staging area that corresponds exactly to the rootfs.jffs2 file? I realize that we can generate a rootfs.tmp but this includes files that can be stripped out before the rootfs.jffs2 file is created.
I would like to do this because now my rootfs.jffs2 file is bigger than my flash. Since it won't fit in my flash, I can't load it in my target and look at it. I need a way to examine the rootfs.jffs2 file on the host easily. I know there is a way to mount the jffs2 file on the host but it's pretty painful and I haven't been successful doing it.
Another question: Is it possible to have LTIB generate some applications and not put them into the rootfs.jffs2 file. For example, since I'm having trouble fitting everything in my flash, could LTIB build MySQL and not put it in rootfs.jffs2 but instead put it aside and let me install it on the target hard drive.
Thanks for any ideas!
