I'm only posting this to provide some balance... I'm sure there must be a
better way to conduct a poll than have everybody e-mail everybody else.

We use the event-driven interfaces exclusively, and these interfaces were
high on the list for choosing lwIP in the first place - the BSD socket
interface is in my experience a poor design, and something to try to
get away from.
