I have already forgotten about this dirty hack of us. (-:  The years go
by.... do you still remember the time when............

Anyways... BOTH are hackw... for ours we know what its doing but we are
limited to the systems we can test on!  For the GNU one... mhhhh... look
at it.... it might run on any posix system.... but can we trust it.... the
sh-utils-2.0 version of strftime.c did even coredumps after an ENDLESS
LOOP calling itself! I am +0 on keeping the GNU one.
