We could also just rename the executable, if that made people happier.
There's nothing particularly sacred about the name, and it probably is
a bit off-putting when all the competition is 3-letters-or-less.

At one point I suggested "m" as being untaken by any standard tools,
but people didn't seem to go for that :-).

I think this is one of those things where hey, if there's consensus,
we can just do it.  Straw poll?

Sounds reasonable to me.  "db" is definitely sorta a lame extension.

There's some wackiness to MIME types...

I guess if someone wants to figure out what's involved here, go for
it...
