Hey guys -- if you're signed up as a mentor on the SoC page, now would
be a good time to go look at it :-)
Our deadline for rankings is Monday (today) 5pm PDT (= 23:00 UTC, I
believe). So about 13 hours from when I write this :-). There are
just a few left to choose between, and I've put up some of my own
comments on them (including comments on recent changes in some
apps)... but the more opinions the better :-).
We have 3 slots; the top 3 ranked projects, with mentors assigned,
will get those slots. We should also have, say, 2 backup slots ranked
just under those, ideally also with mentors assigned, in case our slot
allocation goes up (not likely, but hey, we can hope!), or something
funky happens to one of our first choices (e.g., more than one of
their apps gets chosen by different projects).

(if you get a weird error message, you're probably not logged in, the
link for that's in the upper right hand corner)
Cheers,

Linguistics is arguably the most hotly contested property in the academic
realm. It is soaked with the blood of poets, theologians, philosophers,
philologists, psychologists, biologists and neurologists, along with
whatever blood can be got out of grammarians. - Russ Rymer
