Oh, you can also see the web browser behavior being discussed with the 
shell and nano implementation at https://humphd.github.io/browser-shell/ 
(though it looks like it's nano-tiny). Most browser shell 
implementations I've tried (Proxmox, cockpit, Google Cloud) function 
like this where the browser intercepts ^w and ^t (and some ^r) but other 
keystrokes pass through without issue.
